About us

Partnership and initiatives

We work with a strategic choice of partners to help us promote craft to the widest possible audience; to research opportunities and to present craft in new contexts. We also partner with national education bodies such as Ofsted to develop our work with schools and teachers.

These are examples of some of our recent partnerships and initiatives:

Esmée Fairbairn Foundation

We run a regional development programme in three regions - North East, West Midlands and South West - which is funded by the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation. The work includes the development of a business plan; workshops and craft fellowships for mid-career makers; research and creation of a market development strategy and other initiatives.

Architecture Centre Network

This is an independent organisation that provides a national focus for the 23 centres for architecture and the built environment in the UK.
We are developing a national programme of work that will examine the connections between contemporary craft and architecture. Further information will be available on this site as the work progresses.
