The Crafts Council is delighted to announce the launch of its latest collaborative exhibition scheme, The Fifty:Fifty Programme.
The Crafts Council is delighted to announce the launch of its latest collaborative exhibition scheme, Fifty:Fifty Programme. The Crafts Council wishes to work with selected partners to co-curate and deliver partnership exhibitions. Funds, ideas and resources will be joined and shared equally on a 50:50 basis.This new initiative seeks to develop projects that are match funded by the Crafts Council, with the equal contribution being a maximum of £50,000 (across two financial years.)

Who is eligible?
The initiative is aimed at UK based galleries and venues. We are looking for a partner that can offer
* a project team
* match funding
* a venue/display location
* the potential to tour if applicable
* offer learning and support programme
Different approaches to partnership will be dictated by the selection of the partner and what resources they have in place.
Schedule
The Fifty:Fifty Programme is a biennial scheme.
The Crafts Council seeks proposals for the first round of exhibition projects by 16th February 2009 and will announce the successful project by March/April 2009. This will co-incide with the partnership being launched at the beginning of a financial year. It is intended that the first Fifty: 50 exhibition will be delivered by April 2011.
