Tickets for the next Craft Rally – the Industry of Making – are now on sale. Taking place in Manchester on 8 December, join us for a day exploring the makers’ role in the creation of consumer goods and developing relationships with industry to make extraordinary objects.

Makers contribute much to the creation of consumer goods that are considered, valued and cherished; but how do we take steps to bring individual thinking to global manufacturing; and how do we harness industry to make extraordinary objects?

These topics will be explored during a full day of workshops, inspirational presentations, discussions, networking and socialising with craft and design practitioners, industry specialists and researchers.

Craft Rally – The Industry of Making will focus on the importance of makers’ understanding of materiality and process, and how this, through their own individual creative voice, can lead to diverse activity and collaboration within a practice. Be challenged and inspired to develop your own thinking and practice, and exchange ideas and experiences with craft makers from around the country.

We look forward to welcoming you to Manchester on 8 December to create your own ‘Industry of Making’. For more information and to book tickets, join Craft Rally online, our new, free social networking site for makers who would like to be part of a wider craft community.
