COLLECT 2011: Dates Announced
The Crafts Council is delighted to announce that COLLECT 2011 will be held at the Saatchi Gallery, London from Friday 6 to Monday 9 May 2011.
COLLECT is the leading international art fair for contemporary objects in Europe, with over 11,000 visitors in 2010 and annual sales averaging over £1million at close of show. Now in its eighth year, this established fair will again occupy all three floors of the Saatchi Gallery presenting museum quality work from over 300 different artists represented by galleries from all over the world.
For COLLECT 2011 there will be diverse options for exhibiting at the event:
Previous exhibitors will be invited to introduce new artists and to sell selected objects through the Own Art interest-free loan scheme to encourage new collectors to take the plunge
In addition to the main stands on the Ground and First Floors, the Second floor will house the Project Space which is open to alternative exhibitors to COLLECT. This opportunity is likely to attract new galleries, artist studios, workshops or installation works
Applications for the 2011 event will be opening on Monday 23 August and full details regarding the application procedure will be made available at this time on the COLLECT microsite
By Friday 24 September, all those wishing to apply register their intent by submitting:
A short application form
A draft proposal for stand concept
A draft list of artists and includes images of artists that have not been represented at COLLECT before
The application fee of £70 (including VAT)
Further to the Selection Committee meeting more information may be requested.
