Research Excellence Framework Consultation
The Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE) undertook a public consultation on important changes to the way in which the quality of academic research funding is assessed.
The changes will influence future funding availability for both theoretical and practice-based academic research in the crafts.
The consultation ran from September 23 to December 16 2009.
The Crafts Council contributed to the response submitted by the Council for Higher Education in Art and Design (CHEAD) which is available to download below. The Crafts Council also submitted its own response, focusing on issues of particular significance for the craft sector.
