Bespoke bikes, Game of Thrones embroidery and dogs in studios 

What happened

Woman’s Hour talked to Caren Hartley - Woman’s Hour Craft Prize finalist and one of the only female bespoke bike makers in the UK.

Three sheets of paper and an open brief were given to 150 designers to create pieces that will be auctioned for cancer charity Maggie's. Simple. Beautiful.

The Joint Council for Qualifications announced this week that the number of art, design and technology GCSE students fell by 27,000 this year. 

Michele Carragher, the principal embroiderer for Game of Thrones talked to The New Yorker about her elaborate creations. 

The British Glass Biennale opened today and Joseph Harrington scooped Best in Show last night.

A sculpture in ultra-fine woven metal existing only for this image to be captured. It’s by Michelle McKinney and has just won the Secret Art Prize.
