Listen again to Crafts magazine’s inaugural Book Club
The Crafts magazine Book Club celebrates the relationship between writing and making. There has been a multitude of brilliant books that explore the nature of craftsmanship or have been written by makers themselves.
Here, Crafts invite an author to discuss their book in front of an audience and the first event saw editor Grant Gibson talk to writer, photographer and broadcaster, Robert Penn about his new book The Man Who Made Things Out of Trees – the story of one man’s quest to make as many things as possible from a single felled ash tree (featured in Crafts issue 256).
We will be welcoming Tanya Harrod to the next Crafts magazine Book Club on 10 March to discuss her recent collected works The Real Thing – named as one of 2015 best art and design book by the Evening Standard. Find out more.
