Sharing the power of craft collections

Crafts Council Collections in action

Our collections excite, inspire and inform and they are seen and experienced by hundreds of thousands of people every year at museums, galleries and online.

We’ve made a short film about how we work with museums and galleries to use these collections to share the power of craft.  In it we take a look at our recent Heritage Lottery Funded project - The First Decade. This project  led to a richer understanding or our collections through the digitisation of over 1,000 archive items, a series of new maker interviews and 41 learning and research events which took place across the UK.

Thanks to mima in Middlesbrough and The Wilson in Cheltenham, all the lovely people who contributed to the film and our film-maker David Beazley.
