The Crafts Council’s new touring exhibition Added Value? questions the value of contemporary craft within the current landscape of branding and luxury.

The current desire for authenticity, quality and craftsmanship is redefining notions of luxury. Terms like hand-crafted and craftsmanship are being adopted by global brands as an indicator of quality and value. Added Value? investigates perceptions of value and the increasing interest in provenance and production narratives connected with the things we buy and use. The exhibition questions whether craft is the new language for luxury.

Added Value? features contemporary, high-quality and bespoke objects by makers Zoe Arnold, Bompas & Parr, carréducker, Simon Hasan, Tracy Kendall and Oliver Ruuger.
