    The Cheltenham Art Gallery & Museum holds a designated Arts and Crafts Movement collection of decorative art by key makers based in the Cotswolds in the early 20th century. The collection includes furniture, silver, glass, ceramics and textiles and studio pottery from nearby Winchcombe.

    The Edwardian building, which opened in 1910, houses collections of art, history, natural science and art including the designated Cottonian Collection of 18th Century oil paintings, prints and volumes assembled by Charles Rogers FRS FSA (1711-1784). The decorative art collection contains ceramics, glass, furniture, costumes, textiles and silver, particularly Plymouth silversmiths. It also includes one of the most extensive collections of the historically important Plymouth and Bristol porcelain and a wide selection from other British and European factories, including the work of Dorothy Doughty, Bernard Moore and the Martin Brothers.

    Cornwall's oldest museum, famed for its diverse and internationally important collections. The Decorative Art collection includes ceramics, metalwork, textiles, glass, furniture and woodwork. Highlights include a collection of around 2500 ceramics from Britain and Europe and studio pottery from Bernard Leach and his followers. The metalwork collection contains some good examples of Newlyn copper, a good collection of English pewter and a few significant pieces of local silver. There is also a range of jewellery and trinkets. Textiles include an important archive collection of Crysede fabrics and ephemera plus a range of clothing made or worn in Cornwall covering mainly the 18th to 20th centuries. Not all artifacts are on display and visitors are advised to telephone in advance if interested in something specific.
