    The Quilt Museum and Gallery

    The Quilt Museum and Gallery has a collection of textiles and objects relating to the crafts of quilting, patchwork and appliqué dating from the early 1700s to the present day. Housed in the medieval guildhall of St. Anthony's in York the Museum has a rolling programme of exhibitions and events that tell the story of historic and contemporary textile art and craft.

    York Museums Trust is an independent charitable organisation created by York City Council in 2002. York Art Gallery holds what is possibly the largest and most important collection of studio pottery in the UK. It includes the Milner-White collection of pioneering early studio pottery, the W A Ismay collection of late 20th century studio pottery and numerous other pots gifted or purchased from the 1980s to the present day.
