My work

I find ideas in everyday textiles – significant parts of people’s lives become entwined in the use of them. Wedding dresses, aprons, darning wool, coal smeared miners’ collars all have stories to tell of the hidden lives they are part of. I like words, their ambiguity, the secrets they keep.
