My work
Automata inspired by tin toys, their visual and tactile qualities, the rich patina of dents and scratches created from manufacture and play and the eccentric jerky movements created by their mechanisms. Using making processes that echo these qualities Grayson creates a diverse range of large and small-scale automata.
