Teaches
- work to commission
My work
I make one-off hand thrown and lettered white stoneware pots, domestic and decorative, including wine jugs, fruit bowls, dishes and candleholders. Also hand built wallpanels, sculptural (waterfalls, banners) and architectural (including house portraits). I also make artist’s books and paper constructions (some on a very large scale, some in handmade paper, some in clay) and other lettering artworks, including memorials and commissions.
I fire with green electricity and sell from my studio at Potters’ Yard. Liz Mathews’ gallery blog Daughters of Earth can be found at http://daughtersofearth.wordpress.com
My work is in several public collections including the Southbank Centre Poetry Library and the British Library.
