Are you an emerging craft maker? Join the Crafts Council Maker Development Team, in association with our partners around the country this Spring, for a one-day intensive workshop especially tailored for new craft makers wanting to set up in business and develop their creativity.
Choose from the following date and locations:
1st March in Nottingham
in association with Nottingham Trent University, Nottingham County Council and the Harley Gallery
17th April in Rochester
in association with University for the Creative Arts Careers
24th April in Preston
in association with Creative Lancashire, Lancashire County Council
29th April in Plymouth
in association with Plymouth College of Art, Creative Careers Falmouth University, Creative Skills, and Unlocking Cornish Potential
Online booking and full details will be launched on Monday 28th January. You can register your interest in these events by emailing makerdev@craftscouncil.org.uk
The Hothouse Taster Days are also a great chance to find out more about the Crafts Council’s Hothouse programme for emerging makers – get tips from the Maker Development Team on how to apply, and hear from makers who have taken part.
At each session a variety of inspiring professional makers will share their experiences of running a successful practice, alongside business tips and tools from Alison Branagan, author of ‘The Essential Guide to Business for Artists and Designers’
