The ABDS was founded in 1996 by practicing designer silversmiths to promote the best standards of design and craftsmanship and to focus attention on the abundance of beautiful, new silverware now being created in the UK. In the 10 years since its foundation the association has been constant in its aim to promote excellance in British silversmithing with an emphasis on design. Over the years ABDS has held exhibitions in the UK, Europe and America.
