Making Space is a Hampshire based charity with a focus on contemporary craft. Our purpose built space comprises of 7 studios (approx 16sqm) to rent to designer makers. Studios are large enough to share, rents from £125-£200 per month plus bills. All have 24/7 access, heating, light and water and are exempt from Business Rates. Included is some office support, deliveries etc. Making Space also houses 2 fully equipped teaching studios in which we run courses and workshops. There are opportunities for resident makers to teach. Makers can also rent the studio equipment, including electric and enamelling kilns, brazing hearth, rolling mill, polisher etc at low rates. We also work with other organisations to provide on site professional development and networking sessions.
