Founded on the craft traditions of the two countries, the Research Centre explores the contemporary relationship between developments in textiles in the UK and Japan.
The Centre maintains links with Japanese Arts Universities and with notable textile artists in Japan and the UK and involves a mentoring scheme between established and new artists in the two countries.
