Art Workers Guild
The Guild is a society of artists, craftsmen and designers drawn together by a common interest in the interaction, development and distribution of creative skills. Artworkers guild aims to advance education in all visual arts and crafts and to foster and maintain high standards of design and craftsmanship in a way that may be beneficial to the community.
The Art Workers Guild represents over 270 eminent craftsmen and women. They and their predecessors cover over 100 different crafts.
The Guild is an independent charity and its trustees wish to reach out and inform people on issues of craft education and apprenticeship training. The AWG are currently collating information throughout the UK on placements, funding, societies and information necessary for workshops and studios thinking of offering placements.
