Maker Difference - make a pot
On a warm Friday evening at Cockpit Arts Holborn, Grant Gibson, editor of Crafts magazine, bravely swapped his laptop and mobile for a potter's wheel. To celebrate Cockpit's 'Maker Difference' campaign, Grant, along with Zandra Rodes, Linda Barker and Lucy Carver sat down to a lesson in throwing from Katie Adams... in front of an audience. Here's how they got on.

The whole evening was in aid of Maker Difference, a campaign to support talented makers and designers. There’s a manifesto and a website packed with info on commissioning contemporary craft and how to make the most of your investments – check it out here.
