Subscriptions and buying Crafts magazine
  1. How can I contact the subscriptions department?

    You can contact us by emailing subscriptions@craftscouncil.org.uk or by phoning +44 (0)20 7806 2542 between 9.30am-5pm, Monday to Friday.

  2. How can I pay for a new subscription, gift subscription or renew an existing one?

    You can pay online, by phone or by filling in our downloadable Subscription Form (33 KB PDF format)

    We accept: Direct Debit; cheque; credit/debit card; BACS transfer; invoice (institutions only).

  3. What happens if I change my address?

    Please notify us as soon as possible with your name, previous postcode and your new address. Your delivery details will be changed immediately, but distribution timing may mean your magazine arrives at your previous address.

  4. Can I buy back issues of Crafts magazine?

    You can browse the back issues available and see prices on the back issues section of this website

  5. How often will I receive my copy of Crafts magazine?

    Crafts is published every two months and on sale dates are in the first week of January, March, May, July, September and November.

  6. Where can I buy Crafts magazine?

    Crafts is available in most WHSmith stores, Foyles, and Waterstones. There are a range of other stockists including bookshops, newsagents and galleries which you find on our stockists page.

Editorial and submissions
  1. How do I get my work published in Crafts magazine?

    Send press releases to editorial@craftscouncil.org.uk or Crafts magazine, 44a Pentonville Road, Islington, N1 9BY.
    Never send original photography through the post and remember the magazine cannot accept responsibility for unsolicited mail. Due to the high volume of submission requests, we may not be able to answer every submission.

    When contacting the magazine about your work, it's a good idea to ensure that your website is functioning properly and that the images are of a high standard.

  2. How do I become a writer for Crafts magazine?

    Crafts magazine calls on a range of freelance writers for the magazine and website content. If you have an idea for a feature or review, please email editorial@craftscouncil.org.uk with a brief outline and example of previous work. We regret that we may not be able to respond to all submissions.

  3. Can I get a work placement at Crafts magazine?

    Historically, we have not taken on work placements at the magazine but we are prepared to consider them for the right candidate if the opportunity will be mutually beneficial. Please email your CV and project ideas to editorial@craftscouncil.org.uk for consideration.

Promoting with Crafts magazine
  1. What kind of advertising is available through Crafts magazine?

    The magazine provides a range of advertising options to suit all budgets from classified listings and display adverts in the print magazine, to online banner advertising on the website and e-bulletin slots. Download the media pack for full advertising information.

  2. How do I place an advert with Crafts magazine?

    Call our advertising agency Publishing Matters on +44(0) 1395 576 829 or email advertising@craftscouncil.org.uk to discuss options and book your advert.

  3. Will I receive a copy of the magazine with my invoice?

    Display advertisers will all receive a copy of the magazine with their invoice. Classified and online advertisers do not receive a file copy as a matter of course.
