With a cold snap on the cards for the weekend, it's perfect timing for the London Ice Sculpting Festival
Taking place at Canary Wharf from 11 until 13 January, the free festival will see homegrown sculptors competing against talents from, among others, USA, Spain, France, Portugal. Competitors will be challenged to create works on the themes of The Wonders of the Universe (doubles contest) and Infinity (singles contest). There are also plans for masterclasses offering members of the public the chance to carve their way to an ice masterpiece as well as ice chess, a Northern Lights Laser Shoe and an interactive ice graffiti wall. Just don’t forget your bobble hat and woolly gloves.
