My challenge is to explore the quality of the material by stretching it to its limits. I throw both very thin in porcelain and very chunky stoneware pieces. The material is shown in its pure form to contrast the smooth porcelain with the heaviness of grogged clay.
Inspiration I draw from architecture and Jindezhen monochrome porcelain. This reflects in the two main elements of my work: form and function. Resulting in understated, but detailed objects that can be used on a daily basis.
