Keeping The Homeless Warm

About this project

A new series of work that appropriates crochet with printed metal cans in an attempt to create hand crafted and detailed sculptures that comment on the traditional Christmas tree ornament. The pieces represent studies in contrasts: softness versus rigidity; minimal form versus maximal pattern; handcrafted appearance versus machine aesthetic. The material content also brings to light many of the uncomfortable truths of our contemporary society.
