About this project

The desk is a reimagining of the traditional writing desk.
A leather surface meets with a bog oak drawer front to form a black band interrupting the lines of the desk.
The desk, inspired by the Kingsgate Bridge by Arup in county Durham, is visually striking yet impacts elegantly on its surroundings.
‘Bog oak is Britain’s answer to exotic hardwood. It is a finite resource and I wanted to use the material respectfully, showcasing the timber and creating visual impact within the piece’
