About this project

My work responds to a narrative formed through found objects. ‘Bristle’ are influenced by the stained tips of a coal brush and the lid of a sifter.
The two objects combine together regenerated in new material, capturing the old fragments with clarity. Stark. Black. Shiny. Sharp. The object has been relinquished of dust and dirt; tar appears solid, smooth, plastic. Its’ components, relinquished of its form, are framed, accentuated, elongated.
