Stitched Urn

About this project

Stitched Urn is the result of a visual and haptic exploration into the perversion of materials. The Urns’ appear to be soft but are actually hard and fragile.

The tactile appearance of the vessel is captured through the process of slip casting; the structure is crystallised and sets the object with a sense of permanency. The urn holds a balance of senses somewhere between hard, soft, durable and fragile.
