About this project

I was given the brief for a commission to design a napkin ring that wasn’t a ring. The client wanted an object that created it’s own interest and held it’s own place on the dining table, both when ‘in use’ holding the napkin and when the napkin has been removed. After researching the fine art of napkin folding, I came to the decision that I wanted the silver to dictate what happened to the napkin when the two are together.
