About this project

These hexagonal candlesticks are built around a central wooden skeleton to which the silver panels are pinned with gilded silver pins. The idea was to create an elegant object with weight and presence, but without having to commit to the investment of creating them in solid silver. The Yew wood was chosen for it’s intricate and colourful grain that, together with the gilded details on the silver, add a soft warmth to the abrupt geometric composition of the pieces.
