Thorns in my Side

About this project

A flowing cascade of knotted surfaces which use the humble knot to explore the idea of imperfection as perfection.

As a part of a society which throws everything away once it seems broken, without considering the potential for its repair, I began to wonder if there was a parallel between people’s attitudes to broken objects, and people’s attitudes to themselves. The use of the knot in this work examines the duality of human fallibility and its perfection for being so.
