Bog Oak Ripples

About this project

Bog Oak Ripples is made from the most gorgeous example of bog oak which is approximately 5000 years old. This very rare form of timber is oak that has been preserved in ancient peat bogs, where the acidic anaerobic conditions have turned the oak a rich black colour. The interior is finished in a fantastic burr olive ash for added drama and contrast.

This piece was awarded a prestigious Bespoke Guild Mark in 2016 for its excellent execution of design and craftsmanship (Guild Mark No. 460).
