National Trust Commission: Duke of Wellington's Cedar

About this project

This collection of vessels was commissioned by the National Trust and are exhibited in the Spanish Room at Kingston Lacy. The works were made from a great cedar tree planted by the Duke of Wellington in 1872 which had to be felled last year. The commission marks the 200th anniversary of the battle of Waterloo in June. Three pieces will become part of the permanent collection with others available to purchase from the National Trust online. Proceeds will help fund conservation works.
