The British House Rio - New works in Wellingtonia

About this project

A quartet of my new Wellingtonia (Giant Redwood) vessels will be showcased in the British House for the Rio Olympics this August, alongside one of my sculptural pieces in Burr, created from a Horse Chestnut planted in 1710. The portfolio includes images of the Wellingtonia works in progress. When first sandblasted the wood blushes a distinctive dusky pink, but fades naturally. One of the works Shifting Sands II has now been ebonised to highlight the grain.
