About

Emma Johnson recently graduated from M(Des) 3D Design and Craft at the University of Brighton, specialising in mould made ceramics. Emma’s work is often inspired by architectural details; incorporating precise and angular forms along with a degree of buildability and a unified combination of materials.

Emma is currently making and developing work from her studio at Phoenix Arts Association in Brighton. She also works freelance for other local ceramicists.

HOMI Maker Design Award

Emma Johnson was one of six winners of the HOMI Maker Design Award, a competition aimed at designers/ artisans aged under 35, the prize of which includes free participation at HOMI Milan from the 27th - 31st January 2017.
