The Museum of Conjecture. Rocking Bowls

About this project

These pieces typically reference fragments of past times and their reconstruction into objects suggestive of lost civilizations. They comment on the search for meaning and context by museums and collectors.

The ‘Rocking Bowls’ are reconstructed from random shards ‘found’ in the Museum storerooms by the hapless curator. They are an attempt to make meaning from nonsense and to produce a collection of Pottery from a previously unknown Civilization.
