2018 exhibition about my Craft Residency for Newfoundland and Labrador Craft Council in 2016

About this project

In 2016 I was maker in residence for the Craft Council of Newfoundland and Labrador, a winter residency, my research and choice of materials focused on fishing and the traditions of the area - including house moves.
Inspired by these incredible stories and photographs of houses pulled across ice, I made a huge rope from old clothes donated by the people of Woody Point. The rope made from clothes represented a community on the move.
