About this project

May Dancers were inspired by my visit to a press call of the Rambert Dance Company during rehearsals.
I particularly liked the tension formed by the arching dancers as though they were bows being drawn to launch arrows.
The glaze colours were inspired by the colours that I have seen during walks along the river in spring & the raku firing process gives the glazes an iridescent quality along with unique & subtle crazing.
Each figure is mounted on stained & sealed hard wood base for stability.
