About this project

My ‘Starting the Dance’ figures were inspired by dancers in rehearsal at the Laban Centre for Dance in London.
The sets of glaze colours came from the many hues reflected in the lilly ponds   on the walk from Bosherston to Broadhaven in Pembrokeshire, & the raku firing process gave the glazes their iridescent quality along with unique & subtle crazing.
Each figure is mounted on stained & sealed hard wood base for stability.
