'Sunset Shore' scarf
Photographer: Fiona Dix
Hand woven from a hand-spun mixture of soft Merino wool blended with a little silk and mixed fibres and some Tiree wool. The yarn is inspired by the dramatic colours of sunset over the shore on the Isle of Tiree and the scarf has a freestyle plaid feel and a constant play of colour and texture.
'Jacob' scarf
Photographer: Fiona Dix
Hand woven from my hand-spun yarn. This scarf is inspired by the hidden colours of stone, old walls, shadowy clefts in ancient rock on the Tiree shore. Jacob wool from a Tiree croft provides a natural range of shades of grey from almost white to a deep black-brown, all from the same fleece, and is interwoven with many colours to create an ever-changing tweed surface. 'Summer Sea' scarf
Photographer: Fiona Dix
Hand woven from a hand-spun mixture of Merino wool blended with Tussah silk, Tencel, and some Tiree wool from a Shetland/Blue Faced Leicester cross. The yarn is inspired by the colours of the sea around the Isle of Tiree in the height of summer with the sun sparkling on the waves.
