About this project

Jamdani sheer cotton muslin window treatments and sheer silk muslin scarves hand woven in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

These pieces are designed, sampled and dyed by Majeda then woven by the Jamdani weavers in Dhaka who have UNESCO World Heritage Status. The technique is a 1000 year old traditional that is disappearing, once known as the sheerest cloth known to man. Majeda had the privilege of learning this weave and working with the weavers in developing a product to appeal to a wider audience.
