About this project

A year and a day in the making, the 100 Metres Dash was a marathon challenge. Alongside the braid’s creation, I compiled notes written as though I were an athlete in training. I knew I needed to be disciplined, so created a Personal Training Programme detailing targets to be met and a chart to record my progress. There is a 54 page book and DVD record of the event.

Techniques: lucet braiding, hand dyed silk.

Dimensions: wooden reel: 38x18(dia)cm;  braid: 0.7x0.5x10,000.
