Working primarily with paper porcelain, Marina creates hand built (often tiny)
figurative sculptures which undergo a variety of decorative processes and are
fired multiple times. Rooted in Animism (the belief that natural objects,
phenomena and the universe possess soul), she draws inspiration from past and present multi-cultural sources and a deep connection with the natural world.
Her work is best described by the Japanese word Kami meaning : a divine being or sacred element of nature.
