"Islands" work for Made in the Middle touring exhibition 2016-2018

About this project

Her work for this exhibition combines her love of nature and the poetic landscape. Often, her small textile pieces are stories which interpret the human condition. Influenced by English Romanticism, Michala’s stitched Islands are inspired from a quotation by William Blake.

Made in the Middle is a partnership between Craftspace and the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum in collaboration with the National Centre for Craft & Design.
