Blurring Lines, Merging Colours

About this project

In my ‘Blurring Lines/ Merging Colours’ series, I have been looking at the natural flow of colour in molten glass. I mirror the soft organic lines created when one colour bleeds into the other, with a biomorphic form.
This enhances both the qualities of the glass medium, and the free tonal movement of colour, reminiscent of landscapes, and stormy weather.
Soft and supple, these asymmetrical vessels seem buoyed up by the narrowness of their base, and the tension this creates.
