Autumn/Winter 2016

About this project

The starting point of the project was a photograph of the heather covered moors in the peak district, just outside Sheffield. The striking colours in the image amazed me straight away and these colours help form the basis of the collection. I wanted to use a traditional British pattern and decided to focus on the herringbone weave. I find the herringbone interesting as it is known equally as a pattern and a texture. The collection is built up of contrasting textures and blending unusual colours
