Wild Flowers

About this project

A continuing theme, solid furnace formed glass ‘petals’ assembled to precision engineered stainless steel centre (Terry Miller). An early flower is in the Crafts Council Collection. Colourless glass with plane tube stem. Here a combination of transparent and translucent coloured glasses cast, ground and hot worked. The stem is fabricated by cutting sections from large diameter tube, and welding back into curved triangular cross section stem. The result comes out of the ground full of energy
