About this project

Ryhtide is a medical term for a skin wrinkle. A Rhytidectomy is a face lift. I find it interesting that people choose an expensive and painful surgical operation to get rid of wrinkles that many would have no issue with. So I made a piece that does the opposite of a Rhytidectomy, actively causing beautiful wrinkles.
I tied up balloons filled with air to research wrinkles and really enjoyed the tension this caused in the surface of the balloon and in myself as the balloon was close to popping
