‘Exquisitely handcrafted but practically pointless.’

My work explores aspects of luxury, purpose, function & craftsmanship heritage, along with the traditional inter-relationships between gender, practicality & decorativeness.

I adapt existing objects with a strong & familiar practical purpose into new pieces by combining them with luxurious & fragile materials using traditional handcrafting processes to subvert the original objects, and contradict any previous associations with function.
