Her gravity dropped vessels create an interplay of light, form and colour that is evocative of the natural world which surrounds us.
Strips of glass is cut and arranged in complex patterns which is fused and suspended in the kiln. Heat is applied while gravity fluidly stretches it to the floor of the kiln. It is ‘frozen’ when the desired form is realised. It is then cut, sandblasted and polished.
All work created is a one-off. It is not possible to make two pieces identical.
