Beads

About this project

This project was an exploration of the cumulative quality of countless individually crafted beads. With each bead originating from a cast ingot of materiel which is then drawn down into wire before being individually cut, drilled and finally rounded into shape, each bead is entirely unique in its shape and proportion.

It is the collective quality of these irregularities, which together creates a regularity within a single object, that I find particularly pleasing.
